Promotion and Use of the Scriptures
In this ministry we train people to use the East Apurimac scriptures in written and audio form. We teach literacy so that people can read the Bible for themselves. For our literacy courses, we use the East Apurimac Bible as well as materials produced at AIDIA such as stories, riddles, and tongue twisters, among others. We also teach the Bible orally using a method developed at AIDIA that uses the audio Bible and locally produced images to help Quechua speakers learn the stories of the Bible and teach them to others.
Community Development
We partner with two community development programs: water projects and a mobile dental clinic. The water ministry promotes the healthy use of water in the communities where AIDIA works. The dental clinic is a mobile ministry that brings dental care to communities where they do not have this service available.
